The turning radius is one thing to think about when buying a mobility scooter. The turning radius is the amount of room required for a 180 degree "U turn" by the mobility scooter. The performance in confined spaces will improve as the radius decreases.
You must measure the length and width of each spot where you want to conduct a U-turn in order to know whether a scooter can fit there. The measured length and width must be at least twice as large as the scooter's turning radius.
In order to ensure that turning is safe and simple within your home increase the measurement by a few inches.
